We turn ideas into working prototypes, designing the mechanics and the electronics together.
Jason started designing products 25 years ago. Some went to store shelves and some stayed prototypes. Here is what we are building now, and a few of the things that came before.
Our passion: the right climate for anything
From exotic plants, insects and animals to rare books and art, some things only thrive in an environment where conditions are held just right. Our own product line is designed to do exactly that, holding temperature, humidity, light, air movement and moisture levels where the contents need them, day and night.
Electronics design
We design the electronics together with the mechanics, from schematic to finished board, so every board fits the product it serves. For our current product line that is seven board designs so far, taken from specification to 45 fabricated boards in six months.
Prototyping
Brain-controlled flight for meditation
A meditation and focus trainer you can watch: a headset reads how focused you are, and that signal flies a single-blade helicopter. Jason did the mechanical design and integration of all three pieces: the headset, the airframe, and a charger that shows your focus level. Built and flown as working prototypes.
Micro helicopter
A micro helicopter with blades of its own design, and a controller you steer with a turn of the wrist. Jason was the technical lead on the team behind it, and it went on to $50 million in retail sales.
From rockets to rings
A rocket, a solar tracker and a ring have little in common, and that is the point. The rocket’s single booster lights four upper stages at once, through a light plastic manifold made to take the heat. The two-axis tracker follows the sun for the home Jason built in the mountains of southern Colorado. The ring went from a CAD model to a printed casting pattern to cast metal.
